Unfortunately, child care has become extremely difficult to secure with waiting lists several months long. It is most difficult to secure child care for children under two years of age. Be patient and persistent and know that it will take time.

The YWCA offers an after school program within the majority of the Yellowknife schools. These programs fill up very quickly therefore securing a spot as soon as possible is strongly recommended.
