Cost: Free for military members or those with a GSH Membership, or pay a $3.00 drop in fee.

Swim Diapers

Children who are not toilet trained must wear a diaper designed for swimming. Suitable products may be purchased at the front desk. Disposable or cloth diapers without plastic covers are not permitted as pool foulings can lead to pool closures and program delays for everyone.

Patrons with Medical Conditions

Patrons with serious medical conditions (seizure disorders, heart conditions), should consult their doctor before attending, and should be accompanied by a person knowledgeable of their condition and directly responsible for their supervision. Any patrons with a Medic Alert or known medical conditions should report the condition to the guard on duty.

Static/Dynamic Breathing

  • Static or dynamic breath holding will not be permitted.
  • Static breath holding- hyperventilation followed by submersion, then remaining still underwater for more than 60 seconds
  • Dynamic breath holding- hyperventilation followed by swimming or running underwater for more than 25 meters (1 pool length.).

Pool Rules

  •  All persons using the swimming pool must take a cleansing shower, using warm water and soap before entering the pool;
  • All bathers who have used the toilet must shower before entering the pool;
  • Spectators are not allowed on the pool deck;
  • Persons having any skin diseases, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharge, open sores or any communicable disease will not be permitted in the pool;
  • Spitting, spouting of water, blowing the nose, etc. in the pool is prohibited;
  • No food is permitted on the pool deck or in the pool;
  • No smoking;
  • Individuals shall not engage in boisterous play;
  • Bathing suits must be worn at all times;
  • Children three and under not potty trained must wear “little swimmers” diapers;
  • Maximum swimmers permitted on the deck and in the pool at any one time is 75.


Slide Rules

  • No standing on the slide;
  • Feet first only going down the slide;
  • One person at a time;
  • No jewelry;
  • Clear the bottom of the slide immediately for the next  person;
  • Line up in orderly fashion; and
  • No running.
