Reichwald Warrant Officers' & Sergeants' Mess

The Reichwald Warrant Officers' & Sergeants' Mess is home to all Senior NCOs and Warrant Officers posted to Garrison Petawawa. The current membership is approximately 1100, made up of all Brigade, Garrison and Lodger units.

The Mess hosts 100 annual functions accommodating up to 200 pers including mixed TGIFs, family socials and popular events such as Christmas TGIF and PMC’s Meet & Greet. The Mess employs a very professional and competent staff who is always available to assist the membership.

Retired Associate Member $180/yr
*Upon Retirement at Reichwald - 1st yr Retired Associate Membership Free
Civilian Associate Member $280.56/year

I had a chance to check out the SNCO Mess in CFB Petawawa .... Honestly, I was really impressed.

The whole place just feels well put together—the layout flows nicely and doesn’t feel cramped or awkward like some messes can. The patio was probably my favourite part. It’s a great space to hang out, have a drink, and actually enjoy being there, especially with the patio heaters, make it nice even in cold weather.

The bar area is clean, modern, and has a really welcoming feel to it—definitely a spot people want to spend time in. Upstairs was a nice surprise too. The lounge area with the jukebox gives it a bit of character and makes it feel more relaxed and fun. Hope I didn't upset Melaina when I had the music on and sang a song.....it’s not just another standard mess setup—it actually has some personality.

I also have to give a shoutout to the bartender, Jenny. Her smile was genuinely welcoming, and her attitude made a big difference. She was friendly, attentive, and helped create that kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer. That level of service is exactly what we need more of.

All in all, it’s a really nice establishment. Comparing it to our mess back at CFB Gagetown, it’s hard not to notice the difference. Petawawa’s just feels like a big step up, both in how it looks and the overall atmosphere. Definitely one of the better messes I’ve been in!!!Bravo Zulu to your team!!!!!
