Poppies have been a symbol of military sacrifice for almost a hundred years and are recognized worldwide. The Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre invites the community to honour currently serving CAF members and the memory of the fallen this Remembrance Day by participating in the Poppy Project.
The PMFRC will provide kits containing the materials needed to create and display poppies in the windows of participant homes leading up to Remembrance Day. The project will provide visible support and recognition to CAF members, veterans and their families.
Pick up will be available for registered families from November 4-6 from 8 AM – 4 PM at the PMFRC Family Wellness Centre at 12, Reichwald Cres.
Participating families are encouraged to submit pictures of their decorated windows by email to [email protected] for display and sharing on PMFRC social media.
There are a limited number of kits available so please register in advance by email to [email protected] by November 1.
