Global Advisory Committee

The Military Family Services (Global) Advisory Committee (AC) is a group of volunteers representing Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) families and communities across the Global community. 

The AC works to enhance MFS’s capacity to implement programs and services for all Canadian military families regardless of where they are located.

As a group of volunteers, the AC is not authorized to act as decision-makers or policymakersAC members provide advice to MFS about community needs and evaluate the effectiveness of programs. CAF members (in a non-official capacity), and their civilian spouses/partners and dependents (18 years or older) are eligible to volunteer for the AC. Fifty-one (51) percent of the voting membership must be civilian family members of CAF members. Members representing a particular region must reside in that region at the time of recruitment.

  • Assets: analytical thinking; needs assessment; planning and coordination; systems thinking; time management; experience in program/policy development, implementation or evaluation and assessment; organizational awareness; experience in non-profit, private or government sectors 

 

The MFS AC meets once a quarter and meetings are conducted online. No special computer equipment or programs are required but reliable internet is required.
