Driver's Licence & Vehicle Registration in NCR

Incoming Ontario residents 

Driver's License: Ontario residents will need to transfer their out-of-province driver's licenses. Check the instructions and list of necessary documents to exchange out-of-province/out-of-country licenses.

Vehicle Registration: Registration can be completed at any ServiceOntario Centre. Check the documentation required when registering your out-of-province/out-of-country vehicle.

Residents moving from within Ontario  

Residents can update their health card and driver's licenses' information at any Service Ontario Centre.  Booking an appointment online is helpful, but walk-in appointments are also available.

Incoming Québec residents  

Driver's License: Visit the Societé de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) for direction on how to transfer your Canadian or foreign driver's license to a Québec license. 

Vehicle Registration: To avoid unpleasant surprises, new residents must contact Societé de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) to confirm the required documents, certifications, and updated process of registration prior to going to a Service Outlet.

Update the new address on Service québécois de changement d'adresse (SQCA) for health card, driver's license and other participating departments and agencies online
