Important Notice: Pool Closure Extended Until Further Notice
As of May 9, the pool and all related programming will remain closed until further notice. While we have resolved the staffing issues that caused the initial closure and were preparing to reopen, we are now facing high temperatures on the pool deck due to malfunctioning HVAC equipment. Repairs are scheduled through the remainder of May, during which time other necessary pool maintenance will be completed.
To ensure continued access to swimming facilities, the following agreement with the City of Kingston is in place until advised otherwise:
Access to Artillery Park Aquatic Center (APAC): CAF members and KMCSC gym card holders will have access to APAC until further notice. Pre-registration Required: Pre-registration is required for swims at APAC.
CAF members and KMCSC recreation card holders must go in person to the front desk at APAC to create a personal City of Kingston account.
APAC Facility Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 6:00am - 9:00pm
- Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am - 8:00pm
Booking Process:
CAF members and KMCSC recreation card holders must book online at Aquatic Programs - City of Kingston and select:
- A Program: Lane Swims, older adult swims, family swims, and leisure swims
- Identification: CAF members must provide military photo ID / KMCSC recreation card holders must show proof of gym membership
We are currently planning for the next session of swimming lessons, scheduled for fall. In the meantime, to help your child stay on track with their progress, we encourage you to explore alternative options for summer lessons and look forward to welcoming you back this fall.
An update on the pool closure and reopening plan will be shared by the last week of May.
