Soccer for Kids

(ages 5-12)

Throughout the session, participants will use age-appropriate equipment to develop their kicking, passing, ball handling and running skills at their own pace. Participants will spend a portion of each session working on skills, then play a short game! The group will be divided by age categories (5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12). All skill and experience levels are welcome!

Youth Basketball

Youth Basketball introduces youth ages 12-15 to the sport of basketball in a fun and safe environment and build on the skills they have. Throughout the session, the participants will use age-appropriate equipment to develop their dribbling, passing, catching and running skills at their own pace. Each session will end with a game of scrimmage! All skill and experience levels are welcome!

PJ Party Night

An opportunity for kids (and parents!) to enjoy a PJ night, activities, a movie and some popcorn! Parents are welcome to drop their child off for the duration of the program, leaving them in the care of the recreation staff. Children will enjoy a movie, popcorn, and quiet activities until pickup.

Note: Although parents do not need to be present for the program, we ask that they still remain contactable in case of emergencies.

Youth Leaders In Training (LIT)

Practical and engaging sessions focus on developing the skills, attitudes, and behaviours needed to be an effective leader; youth (12-17 years) will learn key skills to prepare for future volunteering and/or employment opportunities.

Within this course, youth will cover 2 main areas: Leadership Styles and Effective Planning.

Today’s youth become tomorrow’s leaders.

Age: 12-17 years

Art Nights

Art Night introduces children and youths to a variety of art & craft activities that allows them to use their creativity and imagination. Participants will use age-appropriate equipment and materials while participating in fun and engaging art & craft activities. An instructor will lead the activities!

Ages: 8 yrs old and up (guardians are welcome to join)

Time: 6:30pm - 8:00pm
