March is Nutrition Month

Register for any (or all) of the Mission: Nutrition Workshops in March and/or the Top Fuel for Top Performance Workshop on 6 March to qualify for a chance to WIN!

At each Mission Nutrition Workshop, one lucky participant will WIN a Large Good Food Box.

Mission: Nutrition! (MN) (WWLP)

Mission: Nutrition! (MN) is a Nutritional Wellness Lifestyle Program that provides participants with the opportunity to improve and/or maintain their current eating behaviours and habits. Learn how to use the Canada’s Food Guide to meal plan, understand food labels, prepare budget-friendly meals and practice a variety of food skills. A cooking component is also included to build on your kitchen skills and to test your taste buds! Register for any number of the below workshops. (0830-1200 hrs)

  • Mission: Nutrition – More Than Food - 8 March
    Join Health Promotion for an interactive session on the world of nutrition. We will address some common myths and explore WHY nutrition can be so confusing. Using Canada’s Food Guide you will learn some strategies to help you make nutritious food choices more often. This session will also include a cooking component where you will have an opportunity to build on your skills in the kitchen! (One day - 0830-1200 hrs)
  • Mission: Nutrition – Energy Balance & Mindful Eating - 15 March

    Join Health Promotion for a discussion on ‘Why “diets” don’t work?’ Throughout the session you will learn about the concept of energy balance when it comes to weight management and learn effective strategies such as, mindful eating, to help you achieve your nutrition goals. This session will also include a cooking component where you will have an opportunity to build on your skills in the kitchen! (One day - 0830-1200 hrs)

  • Mission: Nutrition – Sharpen Your Food Skills - 22 March

    Meal planning is a skill we could all use help with. Join Health Promotion to learn tips on meal planning and creating budget friendly meals. You will also enhance your awareness on how food marketing influences your food choices and learn how to read Canada’s NEW nutrition label. This session will include a cooking component where you will have an opportunity to build on your skills in the kitchen! (One day - 0830-1200 hrs)
