Chad O'Quinn was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 7 years. Born in Happy Valley Goose Bay, Nfld, and raised in Wassis NB. Chad served 2 tours in Afghanistan; sadly Chad passed while serving in Afghanistan in 2009. He took great pride in being a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, always challenged life and encouraged others to do the same.

This memorial event was started in 2010 by PSP, this year was our first event since 2019. Chad was a powerlifter and this sport is a very supportive community as everyone strives to beat their own personal records. For those that knew Chad this is a sport that he loved and there is no better way to honor his memory than to lift heavy and step outside of your comfort zone.
