Settle & Thrive

Making the most of your time in Europe

While the initial adjustment to life in Europe can be daunting, your time here will pass quickly. Here are some suggestions to help make the most of your time in Europe:

  • Achieve peace of mind, knowing that you are equipped to handle emergency situations. All families must have a Family Care Plan in place and should be familiar with local emergency numbers.
  • Familiarize yourself with the resources available to you in the event of a deployment or family separation.
  • Take advantage of online virtual events to connect with other CAF families in Europe and find out about your local Unit Fund events.
  • Explore personal development opportunities such as the Adult Employability Program or gain volunteer experience by joining our European Advisory Committee.
  • Travel! Travel! Travel!  Check out PSP’s chalet program and join our virtual travel forum to share your experiences and learn from other CAF families posted throughout Europe.
