Sturgeon Public School Division Early Education Programming

Sturgeon Public School Division offers diverse preschool programming to meet the individual needs of your child.

Ages: 2 years 8 months to 6 years

The programming philosophy is that children learn best through play.  Children need to qualify for these programs based on Alberta Education criteria.

The Headstart program is for children who require support in speech and language, behaviour, social development, medical needs, and fine or gross motor skills.  Qualified teachers, family support workers, and consultants offer support to the children.

The Preschool Enrichment Program (PEP) is designed for preschool and who are deemed developmentally advanced and helps explore their potential in a Reggio Emilia inspired classroom. This program is intended for the year prior to Kindergarten and is offered at Namao School.
