Deployment Project Assistant
The Edmonton Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC), a charitable, non-profit organization, is accepting resumes for the following position:
Deployment Project Assistant (Term position until end of March 2025 with the possibility of extension)
Reporting to the Family Navigator – Absences, this position is responsible for planning, organizing and supporting a variety of deployment related administrative duties and delivery of absence support programs and services for CAF family members before, during and after periods of separation.
Desired Skills:- Experience providing general administrative and clerical support
- A supportive, positive approach that contributes to a team environment and delivers excellent customer service
- Preference is given to individuals who are bilingual in French and English
Requirements:- Office administration training and one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent computer skills, exceptional communication and organizational skills along with a willingness to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends)
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Successful completion of a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check and clear Child Welfare Intervention Check
The Hourly Rate of Pay for this position is $21.36.

Fund Development & Volunteer Coordinator
The Edmonton Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is a charitable, non-profit organization committed to enriching the lives of individuals and families in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) through positive action, education, and support.
Absences from family support systems, difficulties during deployments, solo parenting, transitioning to civilian life, or coping with an injury or loss are realities for military and veteran families, realities which can have a significant impact on family well-being. For over 35 years, the MFRC has been committed to supporting military and Veteran families as they navigate these unique challenges through programs and services that enhance their strength and resilience.
The MFRC is looking for a lively, dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as Fund Development & Volunteer Coordinator.
This position is responsible for the planning, execution, administration and evaluation of fund development initiatives. This includes spearheading efforts to cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing donors, implementing strategic initiatives to increase new donor/sponsors, and organizing and coordinating fund development campaigns and events (first and third party). A key relationship builder, this position actively engages with stakeholders to enhance their connection with our mission. In addition, this position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a volunteer program that supports volunteer needs and MFRC programs and services. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of fundraising expertise, strategic thinking and strong communication skills that will drive the success of our fundraising activities and campaigns.
As an organized project coordinator, this position initiates, plans and attends fund development events and monitors fund development plan performance. This position is responsible for researching fund development prospects, ensuring compliance with regulatory policies, preparing and submitting funding requests and evaluating results. Managing all aspects of the volunteer program, this position will connect with the community by recruiting and engaging volunteers in a way that supports volunteer needs and MFRC programs and services.
Applicants must have a relevant degree or diploma (event management, community development) or a demonstrated combination of education and training with a minimum two years of experience in fund development and donor relations in a charitable organization.
Additional Requirements: Excellent computer skills, exceptional communication and organizational skills, and must be able to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends).
The MFRC offers a competitive not-for-profit compensation package which includes a comprehensive benefit package, sick time, flex time and an annual vacation allotment of 15 days to start.

Early Childhood Educator (Level 1, 2 or 3)
Full time (40 hours per week from 8:00am – 5:00pm)
The Edmonton Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is looking for Early Childhood Educators to work at our Daycare, where we focus on creating a safe and secure environment where children can grow and develop.
The MFRC Daycare offers a unique experience for the children and our staff. We offer a rich learning environment with a large outdoor play space, nearby trails and visits from military units on base. We believe in the importance of team and strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment that values the individuality of children, families and staff.
Desired Skills:- A demonstrated understanding of Alberta childcare licensing regulations.
- A proactive approach to encouraging positive behaviours and resolving conflicts.
- Ability to think creatively while planning appropriate activities that will promote an exciting learning environment for the children.

Qualifications:- Diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent combination of education and experience

- The salary range for this position is $16 - $18 per hour plus government top up, based on ECE Level and experience.
