Early Childhood Educator (Level 1, 2 or 3)
Full time (40 hours per week from 8:00am – 5:00pm)
The Edmonton Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is looking for Early Childhood Educators to work at our Daycare, where we focus on creating a safe and secure environment where children can grow and develop.
The MFRC Daycare offers a unique experience for the children and our staff. We offer a rich learning environment with a large outdoor play space, nearby trails and visits from military units on base. We believe in the importance of team and strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment that values the individuality of children, families and staff.
Desired Skills:- A demonstrated understanding of Alberta childcare licensing regulations.
- A proactive approach to encouraging positive behaviours and resolving conflicts.
- Ability to think creatively while planning appropriate activities that will promote an exciting learning environment for the children.
The below benefits are included following a successful 3-month probationary period:

Qualifications:- Diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Alberta Child Development Certification (Level 1, 2 or 3)
- Valid first aid and CPR
- Successful completion of a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check and clear Child Welfare Intervention Check
- The salary range for this position is $16 - $18 per hour plus government top up, based on ECE Level and experience.
Casual positions are also available for those who are interested.

Social Worker - Family Liaison Officer
The Edmonton Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our Mental Health team. In this role, you will provide vital support to individual military family members through specialized programs and services that will help to enhance their strength and resilience as they navigate the unique challenges of military life, with a focus on supporting one of the biggest shifts in their lives: the transition from military to civilian life.
This Social Work role, under the Mental Health Team Lead, develops, implements, assesses, and delivers crisis intervention and mental health services to military families. This involves initial and ongoing contact with individuals, screening for needs, providing referrals, short-term counselling, crisis intervention, program development, facilitation of preventive workshops, networking with community resources, and responding to critical incidents.
The successful candidate will be inspired by the MFRC’s mission to help military families be strong and resilient and will use their in-depth understanding of how to approach mental health concerns to make a difference in our community.
Minimum Requirements- A Bachelor of Social Work degree with membership or the ability to register with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ASCW).
- At least three years' experience in delivering community social work, crisis intervention. prevention work, supportive counselling, and interdisciplinary team navigation services
- Successful completion of a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check and a clear Child Welfare Intervention Check.
- A willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends on occasion.
- The ability to work with confidential information in a professional and sensitive manner.
- Proficiency in utilizing a strength-based, client-centered approach to support clients effectively.
- Proven ability to innovate and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills that actively engage clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Teams.
- Knowledge of the unique challenges of the military lifestyle an asset
The salary range for this position is $60,229.00-$65,144.00 annually based on qualifications and experience.

Are you great at delivering programs and services that support youth development?
The Edmonton MFRC is hiring casual Youth Program Staff, who will work with youth ages 6 to 17 and provide direction and mentorship that supports youth physical, emotional, intellectual and social development.
We are looking for applicants with a degree or diploma in Human Services, or Child and Youth Studies or similar field or a demonstrated combination of education and training with several years of experience in providing human/family services frontline support.
Additional Requirements: Exceptional communication and organizational skills, excellent reporting and administrative skills, must be able to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends).
