We’re pleased to offer military and Veteran-connected children and youth ages 6 to 17 in the Red Deer and Lethbridge areas the opportunity to attend a summer camp of their choice within their local community.

The program is available to children with at least one parent who is a Canadian Armed Forces Regular Force or Reserve Force member, or a Veteran.

Military life can sometimes limit a young person’s choices around activities, friendships, and experiences. Camp Your Choice helps make summer camp more accessible by giving children and youth the freedom to choose an experience that reflects their interests.

Eligible families may receive reimbursement of up to $250 toward the cost of a summer camp taking place between May 1 and August 31.

Whether their interests include sports, arts, outdoor adventures, or learning something new, Camp Your Choice helps children and youth build connections, explore their interests, and enjoy a meaningful summer experience.

How it Works: 

1. Complete the application
   Submit your application 
   
   
2. Application review
   Calgary MFRC reviews applications within 10 business days of submission
   
   
3. Receive your approval notification
   Families are notified of approval status within 10 business days of applying
   
   
4. Submit your proof of payment
   Provide your proof of payment 
   
   
5. Receive your reimbursement
   Approved reimbursements will be issued by cheque
