Camp Your Choice for Red Deer and Lethbridge Youth!

We’re excited to offer young people aged 6–17 in the Red Deer and Lethbridge areas the chance to attend a summer camp of their choice right in their community!

This opportunity is available to children with at least one parent who is a Canadian Armed Forces member (Reservist or Regular Force) or Veteran.

Military children don’t always get the power of choice when it comes to activities, friendships, and experiences. Camp Your Choice is designed to change that by helping families make summer camp more accessible.

Eligible applicants may receive reimbursement of up to $250 toward the cost of a summer camp that takes place between May 1 and August 31, 2026.

Whether your child is interested in sports, art, outdoor adventures, or learning something new, this program helps make those experiences possible.

How it Works: 

1. Complete the application
   Submit your application by Sunday, July 12 at 11:59 PM.
   
   
2. Application review
   Calgary MFRC reviews applications within 10 business days of submission.
   
   
3. Receive your approval notification
   Families are notified of approval status within 10 business days of applying.
   
   
4. Submit your proof of payment
   Provide your proof of payment no later than Monday, August 3 at 11:59 PM.
   
   
5. Receive your reimbursement
   Approved reimbursements will be issued by cheque in September 2026.
