Calgary Military Family Celebration 2026

Join us on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, as we celebrate Military Family Appreciation Day with an exclusive shopping experience and private after-hours reception at Southcentre Mall.

Did you know? The third Friday of September is recognized as Military Family Appreciation Day. Military Family Resource Centres across Canada mark the occasion with events and activities that recognize the contributions and sacrifices of military families.

The event will begin with check-in at the Calgary MFRC booth, where families will receive a gift bag featuring special offers and promotions from participating retailers, along with a map for a self-guided shopping experience from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Families will also receive a wristband providing access to the private after-hours reception from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The reception will include light refreshments, brief remarks of appreciation and family-friendly entertainment.
