Chiefs Readiness Challenge

As Warfighters, we are expected to maintain the highest levels of readiness, and as a means of supporting and encouraging our personal and collective readiness, 16 Wing and CFB Borden have joined forces with the Borden Health Promotion team to launch the Chiefs’ Readiness Challenge (CRC)

Aim: To enhance the personal and collective readiness of Warfighters at 16 Wing and Base Borden.

Mission: To cultivate readiness among all personnel of 16 Wing and CFB Borden, the Chiefs’ Readiness Challenge will encourage healthy habit tracking, foster teamwork, and provide resources that support physical and mental well-being. Each month, a new wellness theme will be unveiled to inspire and guide participants through the challenge.

Instructions - How to Develop Readiness as a Warfighter

April 2026: The Whole Day Matters

Each day is made up of countless small choices, and this month’s Chiefs’ Readiness Challenge theme—“The Whole Day Matters”—invites participants to see how those choices add up. Grounded in the 24-Hour Movement Guidelines, this month we encourage a balanced approach to daily living by weaving together physical activity, quality sleep, and healthy sedentary habits. Instead of focusing on one moment or one workout, we’re zooming out to look at the full picture of well-being across an entire day. It’s a chance to rethink routines, build sustainable habits, and discover how intentional movement—big or small—can transform the way we feel from morning to night.
