Reintegration Realities

Are you navigating the transition of a loved one returning from deployment — or preparing for their homecoming? Join us for a Reintegration Workshop designed specifically for Military families who currently have a member deployed or who have recently returned. 

Hosted by the Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre (PMFRC), in collaboration with expert guest community partners, this session will provide valuable insights and practical tools to support a smoother reintegration process for the whole family. 

What participants can expect:

Whether you're facing this experience for the first time or have been through it before, this workshop offers expert guidance and support to help you feel more confident and connected.

• Explore the realities of reintegration — the highs, challenges, and emotional adjustments that may come with it  
• Build positive communication skills for couples, kids, and caregivers during times of transition  
• Ask questions, gain clarity, and leave with concrete strategies your family can use right away

Make It Your Own: Reintegration Boxes (Free Sign-Up!)

Families can sign up on site to receive a Deployment Reintegration Box after the event at no cost to customize and decorate at home! These special keepsake boxes are designed to help make homecoming extra meaningful by encouraging connection, communication, and celebration. Boxes can include:  

• A couple or family activity to look forward to
• Things to show or share with your loved one
• Keepsakes or surprises
• Anything that helps make reintegration feel special for your family!
