Families reinforce behaviour by making active living part of daily routines, which helps sustain long-term change. Think walks, bike rides and little everyday choices.

Simple Things You Can Do

  • Walk the kids to school instead of driving.
  • Go for a short walk after dinner.
  • Bike to a park instead of driving there.
  • Turn errands into mini adventures.

Make It Fun

  • Do a scavenger hunt walk.
  • Let kids pick the route.
  • Have a "no car evening" once a week.
  • Try a family challenge ("let's hit 10 km this week").

The more fun it is, the more it sticks.

Build a Habit Together

  • Pick one day a week for family movement.
  • Set a simple goal.
  • Celebrate when you reach the goal.

It doesn't have to be big to make a difference.
