Celebration at Parliament Hill: Month of the Military Child

Join in as we celebrate our youngest CAF heroes...our CAF-connected children and youth, in this iconic setting!

What is happening?

We will take the first-ever photograph honouring military children in front of Parliament Hill. Join in this community celebration by wearing Teal and having tons of fun with our on-site activities for the afternoon. 
 

Who should attend?

All NCR CAF-connected children, youth, with their families and supporters. 
 

What is the timing?

12:30 pm Check-in opens 
1:00 pm Event begins 
2:00 pm Photo in front of Parliament 
3:00 pm Event ends, please stay and play until then! 
 

What is the location?

Parliament Hill (grass section to the West – left side facing the flame)  

Please Bring:

  • Weather appropriate gear
  • Picnic blankets to sit on
  • Water bottles
  • Snacks

Limited Items:

  • Chairs/lawn chairs
  • Anything that sticks to the ground (e.g., pop-up shelters, umbrellas, etc.)
     

Why are we celebrating at Parliament Hill?

Because for the first time, this national symbol will be lit up in teal half an hour before sunset on Teal Up Day (Monday April 28) to honour the resilience of Military Children. That's certainly a reason to celebrate!!
