Defence Team Pride Advisory Organization (DTPAO)

Mission:

Our mission is to address and combat systemic discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity by acting in an advisory and recommending role for Defence Team leadership within CFB Kingston.

We are available to consult on both specific issues that may arise, along with systemic challenges affecting Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and all other sexual and gender identities (2SLGBTQIA+).

Please reach out to +DTPAO Kingston | OCFED Kingston@CFB Kingston@Kingston if you would like our input or recommendations, or are interested in joining.

Hello! I’m Josh Sadler (He/him) and I’ve worked with DND in the Kingston area for almost 20 years. Growing up in a military family has given me a unique lens especially now as a civilian member of the Defence Team. I am a proud advocate for 2SLGBTQIA+ issues and always happy to discuss ways we can make positive changes and question the status-quo.

Hello, I’m Warrant Officer Kent Hawkins (He/him). I’ve been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 21 years, and posted to CFB Kingston for several of them. If anyone, but in particular NCM or NCOs in CFB Kingston have any 2SLGBTQIA+ issues they would like to discuss, I can certainly make myself available.

Hi, I'm Amity Belle (She/they). I am a trans woman and logistics officer with the Royal Canadian Navy. I am always happy to bring my knowledge and experiences to the table, especially when it comes to the intersection of the military and 2SLGBTQIA+ issues.
