Military Dads is a unique, 10-week program, offering a blend of both group and individual sessions for active military members who identify as a Dad.
It is evidence-based and focuses on child centered parenting theory/practical teaching. Goals of Military Dads program:
• To support dads in reflecting on how their present fathering may be influenced by their past experiences, and to set goals for how they will father in the future.
• To develop participants’ skills and resources to strengthen their relationships with their children through child-centered fathering and support for children’s connections to parenting partners.
• To help participants better understand how to use emotions for connection and to strive to build repair when things go wrong.
• To support participants in consolidating their skills and tools, and to begin developing their personal Family Navigation Plan.
The program dates for the upcoming course are:
February: 4, 11, 18, 25,
March: 4, 18, 25 (no meeting during March Break)
April: 1, 8, 15
