Home Front Connections

Military life can mean time apart, and every absence can look a little different.

  • 1800 - 1900
  • Kingston Military Family Resource Centre

Home Front Connections is a welcoming space for adults connected to CAF members to meet others who understand the realities of military absences. Whether you are preparing for an upcoming departure, navigating time apart, or adjusting when a loved one returns, you can take part in conversations, practical activities, shared learning, and moments of connection.

Some evenings are simply an opportunity to talk and connect. Others explore everyday topics that can make time apart a little easier to navigate.

You do not need to attend every session. Join in person or online. Choose the evenings that feel useful or interesting to you.

Who can take part?
Open to adults 18+ who have a connection to a Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) member, including:

  • spouses
  • partners
  • parents
  • adult dependants
  • close family members and friends

Whether the absence lasts a few days, a few weeks, or several months, you are welcome to take part.

Depending on the evening, you might:

  • listen to a conversation
  • ask questions
