GO Ball

GO Ball is a girl's only basketball club, partnered with Basketball NWT. The GO Ball program strives to promote skill development, fitness, teamwork and a passion for the game. The program is offered to girls from kindergarten to grade 8. 


Steve Nash Youth Basketball

The Steve Nash Youth Basketball Program is a national youth basketball program designed to develop fundamental skills, sportsmanship and a love of the game for basketball. This grassroots initiative supports and empowers community-based recreational groups and facilities, schools and other institutions across Canada in an effort to positively influence youth through basketball. The goal of the program is to allow participants the opportunity to maximize their potential, while promoting the importance of youth basketball as a vehicle to build character, discipline, self-esteem and sportsmanship.

Yellowknife Basketball Association

Basketball in Yellowknife is a rather niche affair.  While the Yellowknife Basketball Association is compact – consisting of only five teams – it is chock full of talent and more of a club league than its other rec counterparts.

Yellowknife Women's Basketball

The Yellowknife women's basketball is affiliated with the Yellowknife Basketball Association. The women's league has grown in size over the last few years. They welcome teams to come out and join the league, as well as players with no team looking to play on a team.

Yellowknife Philippine Basketball League

A league for forgein workers among the community to get involved in basketball and get out to know people. The YPBL is the largest basketball league in the territory running April - June.

U14 Futures Jr. High Performance Boys Program

The U14 Futures Jr. High Performance Program is in its 4th year of existence.  It was created to allow a younger group of athletes to be pooled in order to better prepare athletes for the high school HP team as well as ready athletes to better represent the NWT at events.

The Program is open to all grade 6,7, and 8 boys.
