The Town of Wainwright

A beautiful and historic community located in East Central Alberta at the intersection of Highway 14 and Highway 41, near the Battle River Valley. Wainwright has a healthy population of just over 6000 people and has many amenities to offer; including a strong and friendly community spirit. 3rd Canadian Division Support Base Garrison Wainwright

You may be surprised to know that Garrison Wainwright is one of the busiest Army bases in Canada! It is home to the Canadian Manoeuvre Training Centre (CMTC), the 3rd Canadian Division Training Centre (3 CDTC), and approximately 12 lodger units. It is boasted as the preferred training ground for the Army’s field force units in Western Canada and is also the home of Exercise Maple Resolve.
