The Junior Ranks' Mess hosts TGIT's every Thursday for their Members and guests. A number of special events are put on by the Committee throughout the year for their Membership to enjoy. The Mess also hosts multiple eSports events during the year for those who enjoy gaming. Information on upcoming events can be found on the Jr Ranks' Mess Facebook page, as well as advertising in the Mess and emails to the members. 

Astra Lounge

The Astra Lounge offers one of our largest event spaces within the Messes. It is a popular location for large scale Unit and Mess events.

Games Room and Patio

The Jr Ranks boasts a patio with a raised deck area with BBQs and seats up to 60 people. Once you are done with the sun, come inside and enjoy the Games Room which features pool tables, shuffleboard, and dart boards. Make yourself comfortable in the TV room and catch your favourite television show or movie.

COMING SOON!

Your Junior Ranks Mess Committee is working hard to bring your facilities up to date! In the future the Astra Lounge will feature a large, open format Virtual Reality Playground. Features will include 6v6 team play, individual and group rentals, with more to come! The building will be fully networked with free wifi courtesy of the Junior Ranks Mess. Included in the planned renovations are wifi hotspots, cell boosting technology, and a complete rework of the multimedia system.

JUNIOR RANKS - MAKERSPACE

Another of the Junior Ranks undertakings is the creation of a MakerSpace. A place where members (and their kids) can come to learn STEM related skills. Tools, workshops, guest attendants, and more will be available! Learn skills like 3D Printing, Electronics, Woodworking, Drone Racing, and more!
