The Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre (in partnership with EarlyON) offers Prenatal & Postnatal Support for prenatal and postnatal families up to 12 months of age. We offer quality and educational programming both virtually via our closed Facebook group as well as in person with our new Lunch & Learn sessions. We also offer development workshops such as Baby Connections and Baby Food Making.
Support is available to Military members, their families and the extended community in a welcoming, informal, safe environment. Expecting and new parents will receive encouragement, resources and experiential learning opportunities throughout the gestational term/pregnancy, up to babies first year (infancy to 12 months).
Monthly Lunch & Learn
Our monthly weekend Lunch and Learn sessions occur one Saturday per month and feature a healthy lunch, some mingling, and information that will be of interest to new and expecting parents. Two learning and creative opportunities -one specific to prenatal/expectant parents and the other for postnatal parents, including their infant(s)– will be offered after lunch. This event is open to expecting parents, their partners and new parents with infants up to 12 months of age.
Baby Connections - Strong Start to Reading
Baby Connections encourages interaction among new parents with their babies (infants from 6 to 12 months). You will explore the various resources together with other families over four 45-minute sessions and a take home kit of resources will allow you to continue learning activities at home.
Take a look at our activity calendar to find out when we will be hosting our next in person activities.
