What to Bring to Camp

We want you to enjoy every ounce of fun with PSP Recreation! Be sure to bring everything you will need each day so you do not miss out!

  • Sunscreen (sunscreen will be applied multiple times a day)
  • A refillable water bottle- we have filling stations on site (hydration is key to staying safe in the sun)
  • Comfortable sneakers and/or well-fitting sandals (flip flops/ croc style slip on are not ideal for physical activities)
  • A nut free lunch with plenty of snacks. There is no microwave available for campers to use.
  • A change of clothes (because you never know)
  • A hat (a must for staying safe in the sun)
  • A backpack to keep it all together
  • A towel and bathing suit (goggles too if you need)*

*Children who do not pass the pool swim test (swimming one length of the pool unassisted) will have to wear a personal floatation device (PFD- lifejacket). Children who are five years old and younger will wear a PFD at all times regardless of swim ability. They will be within arm’s reach of a PSP Recreation leader while in the pool.

*If you prefer your child(ren) who are six years and older to wear a PFD regardless of swim ability, please advise the PSP Recreation office. PFD’s are available, however you are welcome to bring your own.

* Puddle jumper style floatation devices, water wings, pool noodles, etc. are not acceptable forms of a PFD and therefore not permitted during the daily camp swim.

*If your child(ren) are participating in camp swim lessons, please consider sending an extra bathing suit and towel

Medication**

**Please alert the PSP Recreation office if your child(ren) require medication administration during the day.

**PSP Recreation staff cannot administer over the counter medication like acetaminophen, ibuprofen, diphenhydramine, etc.

Although we do our best to ensure that your child(ren) keep their items together, we cannot guarantee it. Please ensure that all items are labelled with your child’s first and last name or family name. Please check the lost and found for any items that you are missing.
