Counsellor in Training

This two-week program gives participants a week in a class setting learning the skills required to be a camp counsellor followed by a week in a real-life camp environment! By the end of the two weeks, your camper can graduate to be a Junior Recreation Leader!

A Counsellor in Training is

• An energetic and positive person
• Someone who wants to work with kids or who is interested in working in recreation or education
• Eager to learn and mature

In PSP Recreation’s Counsellor-in-Training camp, participants will:

• Learn valuable leadership skills and how to work in a team setting
• Get a sneak peek into how to run programming geared towards children
• Learn how to plan and facilitate recreation programs and activities
• Get first-hand experience in being a camp counsellor

Dates:

The program is offered twice during the summer.

• Session 1: July 6 - July 17
• Session 2: July 20 – July 31

• Regular Membership: $477.40
• Ordinary Membership: $530.46
• Associate Membership: $583.50
