Health Promotion, Deployment and You

Whether you are being deployed for a week or a year, the Health Promotion Team is here!

Support for you and your family

Support during military deployment is essential for the well‑being of both service members and their families. It can take many forms—emotional encouragement, regular communication, practical help with daily responsibilities, and access to community or organizational resources. These supports help reduce stress, strengthen resilience, and maintain a sense of connection despite distance and uncertainty.

The Health Promotion Department along with Reconditioning and Mental Performance have created an online "Grit Kit". The Grit Kit is a tool kit designed to help support members while on deployment. While the resources can be used at any time, some of the content is tailored for members that are away from home. The resources available in this section are developed jointly by PSP Health Promotion, Mental Performance, Reconditioning, and other reputable organizations. Please contact any of the above team members for questions about this new project. Can't find a resource you want? Reach out to us through our signal chats (links available in the briefing materials).
