The Recreation Department is pleased to continue its partnership with the Auclair Legion in Otterburn Park and the Legion Curling Club to once again offer curling activities this fall.
Whether you are interested in learning the sport or taking part in friendly matches in a welcoming environment, there is an option for you.

Two Registration Options Available

Learn-to-Curl Program
A great opportunity to learn the fundamentals of curling, develop your technique, and gain a solid understanding of the game in a structured and supportive setting.
Location: Legion Curling Club
Schedule: Every Wednesday, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Dates: October 15 to December 22 (10 sessions)
Who Can Participate: Adults (18+), men and women

Recreational Curling League
Join friendly league play and enjoy an engaging experience where teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun are at the heart of every game.
League games will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, from October 14 to December 18 (20 evenings in total).
While the league is well organized and supervised, matches are played in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
To support learning and integration, participants will be assigned to teams based on their skill level (beginner, intermediate, or experienced).
The league is open to adults aged 18 and over, men and women.

- Participation in official league games (matches, standings, and team spirit)

Required material
Whether you join the league or the Introduction Program, no specialized curling equipment is required. Stones and brooms will be provided.
For your comfort and safety, we recommend bringing:- Warm hat or cap (to stay warm)
- Gloves (for comfort on the ice)
- Clean athletic shoes (clean soles are mandatory)
Note: If your shoes are not clean, shoe covers will be provided to protect the ice surface.
Not mandatory, but recommended to help prevent injuries in the event of a fall.
