Registered Social Worker
Kelly McLean is a Registered Social Worker with over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families through complex challenges. Her background includes work in mental health counselling, addictions, domestic violence, housing instability, and senior level management within an employment consulting company.
Supporting families when it matters most
As a military spouse and child of a medically released veteran, Kelly has both personal insight and professional experience in supporting Canadian Armed Forces Families. While employed with Military Family Services during an OUTCAN posting to Florida, she provided dedicated support to families navigating the unique demands of military life, including crisis situations and a natural disaster. Her commitment to the well-being of military families was recognized with the Spirit of the Military Family Coin – an honour awarded to individuals who demonstrate outstanding service and dedication to the military community.
Individualized Approach to Meet Your Families Needs
Kelly provides compassionate, trauma-informed support tailored to the needs of each family. Using a client-centered approach and CBT techniques, she helps clients navigate through transition and loss.
She offers short-term individual and group support, outreach, and referral to community resources.
Kelly is registered with both the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and works in partnership with the Greenwood Transition Centre.
In her spare time, Kelly enjoys exploring the coastlines, spending time with her family, and expressing herself through dance and creative arts.

Any family member of an ill or injured CAF member (Regular or Reserve), including spouses, children, parents, relatives of significance or people who self-identify as the family of that member.
Family members and persons of significance to fallen CAF personnel.
