2025 programming wrap-up

We officially began as Military Family Services this April, and the months that followed were shaped by real moments of connection, support, and community.

Throughout this year, families found steady rhythms at Parents & Tots and Tumble Tots, returning week after week to build routines, friendships, and a sense of belonging. Youth wellness activities created space for military children to build confidence, try new things, and feel supported as they grow.

At Makers Night, people came together to learn new crafts leaving with new skills and new connections. The Rug Hooking group where creativity and conversation built a strong sense of community. Soirée Créative offered a French-only space where, with or without crafting, a close-knit group formed through mutual support, many good laughs, and lasting friendships.

Dinner and Connection created space for those navigating military absences of 24 hours or more, where shared meals led to honest conversations and moments of feeling less alone. Sharing Our Struggles (SOS) provided a supportive environment where people could freely share experiences and support one another.

Wing Welcome brought the community together, filling our space with energy, new beginnings, and the joy of seeing families walk through the doors feeling welcomed.

More than programs, our team had the privilege of connecting with you personally. Warm Line calls and quiet check-ins also offered compassionate support when someone needed a listening ear.

These moments were made possible with the support of volunteers, collaboration with partners such as PSP, Community Recreation, SISIP, Health Promotion, the GMFRC Daycare, The Aurora, the Wing, and many others. Every offering focused on helping military families feel connected and supported.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and helped building our community.
