Robin's Nest Childcare Centre
Robin’s Nest Childcare Centre provides full-time childcare in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. As a fully licensed childcare centre, we are committed to maintaining high standards of care and early childhood development.
Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM.
We also offer drop-in care for military families, subject to staff availability. Please contact Robin’s Nest directly to inquire about current availability.

After School Program
The After School Program (ASP) provides childcare support for working parents and parents returning to school. It provides a safe and stimulating environment for school aged children up to the age of 12. It is an ACTIVE program which promotes the child’s physical, emotional and social development. Children have free play time and participate in games, sports, crafts etc. The ASP operates out the MFRC Community Centre and 5 Wing Gym. The Hours are 2:45 – 4:30 Monday – Friday during the school year.
Spring Break Day Camp
A week long camp is held during the school’s Spring Break. Dates are determined by the NL School Board. The camp is for students in Kindergarten up to the age of 12. Children participate in a variety of indoor/outdoor activities throughout the week. Camp dates and registration times are advertised through email and the GBMFRC Facebook page.
PD Day Camps
When schools are closed for Professional Development/Admin Days, the MFRC will run a day camp if numbers and staffing are sufficient.
Summer Fun Day Camp
The MFRC Summer Fun Day Camp is an action packed, fun filled summer program for children in kindergarten up to the age of 12. Children participate in indoor/outdoor sports and games, crafts, science activities, field trips, beach days and more! The camp runs from 7:45 – 4:30/Monday to Friday, for the first eight weeks of the summer break from school. Priority for enrollment is given to the Military/ Defense Team/ past users/ general public. Camp dates and registration times are advertised through email and the GBMFRC Facebook page.
Babysitters List
The MFRC has a list of babysitters, as of right now it is mostly teens for evenings and weekends. If you would like access please reach out to the MFRC by calling 896-6900 ext. 6060.
