Canadian Forces Children’s Education Management

Families with children moving between provinces who are concerned that changes in curriculum may pose academic hardship are encouraged to contact Dependent Education Management section for assistance. In some cases, education allowances are available to members to assist with the cost of private tutoring for a dependent child during the first school year of the child at the new place of duty or when moving from province to province in the student’s graduation or pre-graduation year or official language tutoring.

In the Comox Valley, there are two school districts that offer English, French Immersion, and French education programs. The area that you live in will determine the school your child will attend. In the Province of British Columbia, public education is available to students from kindergarten to Grade 12.
