A weekend for Veterans and Families of the Fallen to rest, connect and explore practical ways to support their wellbeing.

With activities for adults, youth and children, families can enjoy time together and opportunities for reflection.

Choose what feels right for you and your family, with space to participate at your own pace.

2:00–4:30 PM 
Arrival & welcome 
Pick up your schedule and wellness kit, enjoy light refreshments and settle in. Hotel room check-in begins at 4:00 PM. 

5:00–5:30 PM 
Opening circle  
A welcome from Calgary MFRC, land acknowledgement and introduction to the weekend’s supports. 

5:30–6:30 PM 
Welcome dinner 
Share a meal and get to know other participants. 

6:45–7:45 PM 
Welcome & smudging ceremony · All ages 
An Indigenous Knowledge Keeper will lead a gentle opening gathering. Participate in whatever way feels comfortable to you. 

From 8:00 PM 
Wind-down time 
Enjoy a quiet evening and settle in. 

7:30–8:30 AM 
Breakfast 

9:00–11:15 AM 
Morning workshops 
Adults can explore grief and family communication or mindfulness tools for daily life. Mindfulness activities will also be available for youth. Children can take part in nature-based play and resilience games. 

11:30 AM–12:30 PM 
Lunch 

1:00–4:00 PM 
Choice workshops 
Choose from creative expression, practical financial wellness and future planning, or a guided outdoor walk with reflective prompts. 

4:00–5:30 PM 
Free time 
Rest, explore the pool or spa, spend time with family or find a quiet moment. 
 
5:30–6:30 PM 
Dinner 
 
6:45–7:45 PM 
Remembrance & honour ceremony 
A Padre led supported gathering with candle lighting, music and space for quiet reflection.
