Recreational Sports in Yellowknife

Military members and their dependents who have PSP Plan Memberships may participate in recreational sports as long that they are of age required for the sports program.

Please note that not all sports are part of the PSP Plan program and a review is done annually on what sports are of most interests from our members.

• Curling: PSP Plan Members have access to receive a $150 reimbursement for their curling league fees.
• Softball: YK slo-pitch is a coed league. Military members and members of the PSP Plan Members can play on the Team North team.
• WIMPS Hockey (Weekly Improvement for Mediocre Players): Wimps is Yellowknife's long-time adult recreational hockey league, open to men and women aged 19 and over, and welcomes all skill levels.
• YK Hockey Rec League:

• Yellowknife Adult Soccer League: This is a Co-ed program that is offered to all members who are part of the PSP Plan.
• Volleyball: Volleyball Season runs from mid September to April. This is a Coed program that is offered to all members who are part of the PSP Plan.
