BASIC FITNESS TRAINING ASSISTANT (BFTA):
PSP will be running a Basic Fitness Training Assistant (BFTA) course at 17 Wing:

17 Wing Winnipeg Workshop: 9-12 June 2025 (0800-1600 hrs)
Designed for physically fit CAF personnel interested in improving their knowledge of safe and effective physical
fitness training methods, leadership abilities and instructional capabilities to assist in supporting their unit’s physical
fitness.
Expectations
Students will be assessed on their conduct of a group physical fitness training session and implementation of a
physical fitness program, as well as a written evaluation.
NOTE: This is a highly physical / activity based course.
Course Length
3 days of online lessons, an assignment and an evaluation
4 day in person workshop (practical demonstrations, group discussions, and student presentations)
Prerequisites
• Successfully completed the FORCE evaluation in the past 12 months
• Rank of Corporal (Cpl), Sailor First Class (S1) and above
• Currently qualified in Standard First Aid and CPR
• Medical standards:

FORCE EVALUATOR:
PSP will be running a FORCE Evaluator Course at 17 Wing on Fri 03 Oct 2025
Date: Fri 03 Oct 2025
Location: 17 Wing Winnipeg, Bldg 21
Time: 0800-1600 hrs
The FORCE Evaluator course qualifies graduates to conduct the FORCE Evaluation in accordance with the FORCE Evaluation Operations Manual. The course consists of two parts:
Part One: DLN Modules: Seven (7) online Video Modules and online test
Part Two: one-day workshop
Successful completion of the DLN Modules and online test is required prior to attending the in-person workshop.
Requalification as a CAF FORCE Evaluator is required every two (2) years. Requalification consists of two parts:
Part One: DLN Modules: Seven (7) online Video Modules and online test
Part Two: one-day workshop
