• Membership Categories

  Regulars Members:

  • Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, which include currently serving Regular and Reserve Forces personnel, and their families; 
  • Members of Foreign Military currently serving with the CAF, and their families; and 
  • Veterans, which include former members of the CAF who have successfully completed Basic Military Training and have been honourably discharged, and their families. Proof of eligibility will apply. 

  *Note: Supporting documents are required for viewing purposes only to confirm active military status, spouse and dependants if applicable. Provide a copy of MPRR upon account creation and it will be returned to you or disposed of. Anyone between the ages of 18-25 will need to show proof of schooling to remain on the primary members account.
  
  Ordinary Members: 

  • Current Department of National Defence (DND) Public Servants, Staff of Non Public Funds (NPF), Staff of Military Family Resource Centres (MFRC’s), Staff of Defense Research Development Canada (DRDC) and Defense Construction Canada (DCC), and their families; 
  • Serving Royal Canada Mounted Police (RCMP), and their families; 
  • Currently serving Honorary Colonels/Captains (Navy) and Honorary Lt Colonels/Commanders, and their families; 
  • Former Staff of NPF in receipt of a pension and their families; 
  • Former RCMP in receipt of an annuity and their families 

  *Note: Supporting documents are required for viewing purposes only to confirm work/contract status, spouse and dependants if applicable. Anyone between the ages of 18-26 will need to show proof of schooling to remain on the primary members account.
  
  Associate Members: 

  • All other paying members. 
• Punch Card Drop-In

  This card is a more cost-effective alternative for non-members to access the Garrison Fitness Centre 10 times. Punch cards expire 12 months from the date of purchase.  For more information, please contact the Recreation Department at 780-842-1363 x1660.

• My Spouse is posted here, do I get a free PSP Plan Membership? 

  Yes!   All CAF Members and their families qualify for a no-charge PSP Plan membership.   Come and sign up for yours at the Garrison Fitness Centre. 

• I’m a Veteran, how do I get a FREE membership? 

  Former members of the CAF who have successfully completed Basic Military Training and have been honourably discharged, and their families.  Get your card at the Garrison Fitness Centre.

• I don’t work on Base but would like to rent equipment and come on the bus trips, do I need a membership?

  Civilian members can enjoy all the benefits of a PSP Plan Membership when they purchase a membership as an Associate Member. 

• I work on Base as a civilian, how do I get a membership? 

  Current Department of National Defence (DND) Public Servants, Staff of Non Public Funds (NPF), Staff of Military Family Resource Centres (MFRC’s), Staff of Defense Research Development Canada (DRDC) and Defense Construction Canada (DCC), and their families are classified as Ordinary Members and qualify for a free PSP Plan Membership.   

• What do I need to claim my free membership? 

  Regular and Ordinary members need to bring proof of their affiliation;  this may be a military members MPRR, ID's or Marriage Certificates.   Contact us to confirm what you will need to secure your free membership. 

• What does a PSP Plan membership get me? 

  Access to the Recreation Clubs, Discounted Passes, Equipment Rentals, Youth Rec Programs, Events & Bus Trips, Adult Rec Programs and of course, access to the Fitness Centre.   We're introducing more all the time!  Follow us on Facebook to keep up to date with all that is happening!
