Privacy Notice

Personal information is collected under the authority of the National Defence Act for the purpose of administering the CAF eSports program. It is used to verify eligibility, assess applications, and support participant selection and involvement in the program. Personal information may also be used for reporting, program evaluation, and related communications activities.

Personal Information will be disclosed to Overactive Media (OAM), a third party esports and entertainment company based in Toronto, for the purpose of evaluating applicants and building competitive gaming teams on behalf of the CAF eSports Program. Personal information may also be shared with other partners and service providers for facilitating participation in gaming events.

Personal information is protected in accordance with the Privacy Act and described in personal information bank, CAF Sports Program – CFMWS PPE 860. Under the Act, individuals have the right to access and request correction of their personal information, and to file a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner of Canada regarding the institution’s handling of personal information.
