Internal strength and adaptability can help young people blossom through uncertainties associated with the military lifestyle. Skills and strategies such as social emotional learning, healthy self-esteem and a growth mindset can help set the foundation of resiliency for everyday life. Through fun-filled, interactive activities, children and youth of military families can learn essential skills to go beyond surviving into thriving through any challenge they may encounter.
The Growing and Glowing Programs are educational, skill-based programs for children and youth of military and veteran families in the NCR. These groups provide a safe and supportive environment to learn and explore age-specific topics related to positive mental health, well-being, and overall empowerment.
