Healthy Eating & Active Lifestyle Program (HEAL)

HEAL is a multidisciplinary health and fitness program designed to build capacity by equipping CAF members with knowledge, skills, and motivation to improve and maintain their health.

Through participation in weekly workshops, group and individual physical training (PT) sessions, participants will gain knowledge and practice skills enabling them to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Topics include essential nutrition, fueling for exercise, stress management and mental fitness. 

Mission

Optimize the health and wellness of CAF members through a collaborative approach that focusses on prevention, merging medicine and healthy lifestyle habits.

Program Schedule

The program will take place from 17 September to 3 December on Wednesdays from 08:30-12:002.25 hours will be committed to in-class health education with PSP Health Promotion and 1.25 hours will be dedicated to group PT with PSP Reconditioning with a virtual PT session Fridays from 1100 - 1200 hrs. 

Location

The program is in-person and will be delivered at NDHQ (Carling). Classrooms, gym facilities, public transit and parking* are available onsite.
