Meet Erin, Family Counsellor
Erin is a Social Worker with over 10 years’ experience providing counselling and mental health support. Erin has worked with a diverse client base, supporting individuals, couples and families navigate various life challenges. Erin can provide short-term counselling services using evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). Using an individualized and strengths-based approach, Erin can support clients with developing clear wellness goals and teach practical coping skills to help address difficult emotions and situations. When needed, referral to specialized care or other community resources can also be provided.
Erin is registered as a Social Worker Candidate with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers.
In her spare time, Erin enjoys spending time with her family, exploring community attractions and being out in nature.
Personal and Professional Experience with the CAF Community
As a military spouse and former military child, Erin has a personal understanding of the unique difficulties associated with a military lifestyle. Professionally, Erin has previously worked with the military community at 5 Wing and the Goose Bay MFRC.
