DESCRIPTION
Created for busy families looking for free activities that can be done around their schedule, Monthly Challenges compiles a list of exciting ideas that are appropriate for all ages! Suggestions are intended to motivate families to actively fill their free time by creating unique memories in their local communities, both CFB Comox and the Comox Valley. Each month also includes challenges specific to helping families proactively prepare for work related absences by encouraging a sense of community, selfcare, freezer meal preparation, and more. Through these experiences, screen time is minimized and quality time with loved ones is maximized.
Since inspiration can come from diverse sources, in addition to listing relevant dates for social media publications, Monthly Challenges showcases various prizes that can be won simply by visiting Comox MFRC and collecting ballots. Contest rules are as follows:
- Contest is open to members of all CAF families: actively serving or veteran.
- Challenge checklists are available on the 1st of every month; entries must be submitted by the last day of the same month.
- Checklists are available in PDF and at the Comox MFRC.
- Complete the challenges in whichever order you like. Each completed challenge earns a ballot. Each member of the family can complete their checklist at their own speed.
- To receive your ballots, show a picture of your completed challenge to staff at the Comox MFRC.
- A draw for each of the four age groups will be made the 1st day of the following month: 0-5, 6-12, 13-18, 19+.
- The winners’ names will be announced on Facebook: @ComoxMFRC. Prizes will be available for pick-up at the Comox MFRC.
