The Inter-unit Pedometer Challenge is an inter-unit challenge that turns physical activity into a driving force for team spirit, pride, and collective commitment. By aiming for 8,000 steps a day, each participant directly contributes to their unit’s success.
Simple, accessible, and inspiring, the challenge helps people incorporate more physical activity into their daily lives—at work, at home, or during organized activities—while strengthening their sense of belonging to CFB Bagotville. The previous edition attracted nearly 420 participants, doubling the turnout from previous years and demonstrating the community’s growing commitment to an active lifestyle.

🚶♂️ Group Walks
Two key events are directly linked to the Pedometer Challenge and help foster a sense of unity and engagement throughout Physical Activity Month.
1.Kickoff Walk – May 1
The Kickoff Walk officially kicks off the Pedometer Challenge and Physical Activity Month. It’s an opportunity to start the month together, get moving, and motivate each other for the 31 days ahead.
Last year, nearly 80 participants gathered to kick off the challenge in a dynamic and positive atmosphere.
2.Marche de fermeture – avec la participation du CPE Alouette
The closing walk is a highlight and a unifying moment to mark the end of the Pedometer Challenge and celebrate the efforts made throughout the month.
The event will take place in the presence of the command team and the children and families of CPE Alouette, reinforcing the initiative’s family-oriented, inclusive, and community-focused nature.
During the last edition, nearly 200 participants in the Pedometer Challenge took part.
This event will also feature the official presentation of the inter-unit trophies. A spectacular, festive event not to be missed!
