Inter-unit pedometer challenge 2026

The Pedometer Challenge is a simple, accessible, and motivating inter-unit challenge that helps you incorporate more physical activity into your daily routine—whether at work, at home, or during organized activities. By walking 8,000 steps a day, each participant directly contributes to their unit’s success. Following its resounding success in 2025, we’re aiming even higher in 2026 with a goal of 500 participants. Join the movement!

Group Walks

Kickoff Walk – May 1st – 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. (Departure from the Arena)

The kick-off walk officially marks the start of the Pedometer Challenge and Physical Activity Month. It’s an opportunity to get moving and motivate each other collectively for the 31 days ahead. Last year, nearly 80 participants gathered to kick off the Challenge in a dynamic and positive atmosphere.

Closing Walk – June 2 – 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. (Departure from the Community Center)

The closing walk is a highlight and a unifying moment to mark the end of the Pedometer Challenge and celebrate the efforts made throughout the month. The event will take place in the presence of the command team and families from the Alouette Daycare Center.

During the last edition, nearly 200 participants took part. The official presentation of the inter-unit trophies will also take place at this event. A festive event not to be missed!
