Preparing For Your Inbody Assessment

Track your progress with the InBody Test. Taking the InBody test once will give you a snapshot of your body in that moment of time. Taking the InBody test consistently will give you a timeline of your progress and you can track any improvements from changes in your exercise and diet regime.

Prior to Testing

For the most accurate results, there are a few steps you should follow:

    • Ideally perform the body composite test first thing in the morning or refrain from eating or drinking 3 to 4 hours before testing
    • You must NOT have eaten any breakfast. You may drink water, milk, juice, plain soup, decaffeinated tea/coffee/soda, etc.
    • You must NOT have consumed alcoholic beverages in the previous 24 hours
    • Avoid drinking caffeine on the day of your test
    • You must NOT have done any excessive physical activity in the 24 hours before – so make the day prior to testing a light activity day or a recovery day from training
    • Do not exercise, take a hot shower, or use a sauna right before testing
    • Stand still for approximately 5 minutes before testing
    • Refrain from taking diuretics such as caffeine, alcohol, and medications affecting body water before testing
    • Use the bathroom prior to testing
    • Avoid using lotion or ointment on hands and feet
    • If testing in the winter, warm yourself up for 20 minutes prior to testing
    • Wear light clothes for the test and remove all metals (watch, belts, rings, etc.)

Notes:

  • People with electric metal devices such as pacemakers should not be tested
  • Women who are pregnant are not recommended to take the test
  • Women who are menstruating are not recommended to take the test
