The Metro Area

An Eastern Edge Experience!

St. John's is the capital city of Newfoundland and Labrador and the largest city in the province. It has a large urban sprawl accross the North Eastern tip of the Avalon Peninsula and is known as North America's easternmost city. The population is approx 114,000 which is the second largest city in Atlantic Canada, and the 20th largest metropolitan area in Canada.

Military families relocating to St. John’s and surrounding areas will find a natural environment, quality educational and medical facilities, clean air, safe streets, all the amenities of the greater Canadian community, with a European flavour. Our rich history and culture, and affinity for "small town" quality of life make St. John’s and surrounding areas a pleasure to live, work and play in.
