Capital Pride: Celebrating and Supporting 2SLGBTQI+ Communities in the NCR

Pride Season is a time to recognize, honour, and celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of 2SLGBTQI+ communities in Canada. While Pride Season runs from June to September, it is essential to recognize that advocacy and support for equal rights needs to happen year-round.

From August 16 to August 24, the National Capital Region will host a series of community-led and signature events to celebrate the diversity of 2SLGBTQI+ communities. The biggest celebration — the Pride Parade — will take place on August 24.

Let’s come together as a collective to advocate for safety, not fear; acceptance, not judgment; and love and kindness, not hate.
