Absence Support & Connections

group of people walking in forest

Opportunity for circle of loved ones experiencing an absence of their CAF member to connect with others facing the similar challenges.

  • 1800 - 1930
  • Kingston

Please note that this activity will take place at Lemoine Point!
Military children endure a unique emotional journey when missing a parent/guardian.  This event will offer an opportunity for children to gather alongside their peers in a supervised separate space to engage in an emotionally supportive and resiliency-based activity. It is important to provide them with an opportunity to connect with other children also experiencing absences, in a safe and adult-led environment.

Adults with or without children are encouraged to take part in peer connection to strengthen their support network within the community while also learning more about absence support and resources.

August Special:
Military families will go on a scavenger hunt to find items in Lemoine Point Conservation Area by following clues in a Family Fun Game.

Parents/guardians will be required to remain onsite with their children for the duration of the evening.

There will be NO Absence Support and Connections in September!
