Prizing

Who is eligible to participate and win a prize:

Regular Force personnel (who have reached the age of majority in the province that they reside)

Reserve Force personnel - Class B, Class C, Class A Primary Reserve (who have reached the age of majority in the province that they reside).

1) To enter and be eligible to win a prize, a person must be of the age of majority in the province in which he or she is living and have a valid email address and current contact information should they be declared a winner.

2) By entering, participants agree to abide by the Challenge rules and the decisions of Health Promotion Services, which shall be final. This Challenge is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws and regulations.

3) Failure to submit your Registration Form to your local HP delivery office prior to prizedraws will result in your ineligibility to qualify for those prizes.

Who is ineligible to win a prize but are encouraged to participate:

• CAF Veterans
• DND employees;
• Non-Public Funds employees (excl HP personnel); MFRC employees;
• SISIP Financial personnel, spouse/partner, family members (who have reached the age ofmajority in the province that they reside)
• HP personnel, spouse/partner, family members (who have reached the age of majority in theprovince that they reside)
• Spouse/partner, family members (who have reached the age of majority in the province thatthey reside) of DND employees;
• Spouse/partner, family members (who have reached the age of majority in the province thatthey reside) of CAF/Reserve members;
• Spouse/partner, family members (who have reached the age of majority in the province thatthey reside) of Non-Public Funds employee;
• DND contractors;
• Spouse/partner, family members (who have reached the age of majority in the province thatthey reside) of MFRC employees;
• Supplementary reserve member.

Prizes:

1) The HPS has two (2) weeks from the end of the Challenge to contact the potential winners (July 21, 2023). Should the local HPS be unable to contact the winners in that time, an alternate potential winner can be chosen.

2) HPS will distribute the actual prizes based on participant eligibility and participation inthe Wild Goose Chase.

3) Before being awarded a prize, potential winners will be required to sign and return withinthe time stipulated by HPS, a full release and indemnity stating that he/she has read andunderstood these official rules and regulations (“Rules”), grants all consents required,authorizes HPS to broadcast, publish and disseminate his/her name, rank, current locationof employment, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with anypromotion or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and information purposes atno additional compensation to the potential winner, beyond the awarding of or participationin the prize, accepts the prize as offered and releases HPS (hereinafter collectively referredto as “Releases”) from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential winner’sparticipation in this Challenge and receipt and use of the prize.

4) In the event that the potential winner does not comply with all the provisions as outlinedin these rules, HPS shall have the right to disqualify the potential winner, and draw analternative potential winner and HPS shall be fully and completely released and dischargedfrom any liability or responsibility in this regard. The provisions and procedures referred toabove relating to selection and notification of a potential winner, if applicable, shall beapplied, with the necessary amendments, until a qualified winner has been duly selected.
