1) By participating in the Wild GooseChase (the “Challenge”), participants agree to be bound by the official Challenge’s Rules and Regulations and the decisions of the organization’s authorities of Health Promotion Services (HPS).
2) By completing challenges through the GooseChase app, the entrants and participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these rules. All decisions of HPS with respect to any aspect of this Challenge, including and without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Challenge.
3) All photo, video, and text entries into the app become the property of the Department of National Defence (DND) and will not be returned.
4) Prizes are subject to change without notification and must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions will be made, transfer permitted, or refunds allowed, cash or otherwise.
5) By participating in the Challenge, an entrant agrees to the use of his/her name and address(city and province only) for publicity purposes relating exclusively to this Challenge without compensation.
6) By participating in the Challenge and submitting photos and videos through the GooseChase app, the entrant agrees to the use of such photos and videos on Social Media and other promotional purposes relating exclusively to this Challenge without compensation.
7) The Challenge is subject to all applicable federal laws and regulations. Any personal information collected for the purposes of the contest will only be used or disclosed for that purpose and in accordance with the Privacy Act of Canada. In providing such information,participants consent to the use
of such information as indicated. HPS will not release personal information of entrants with 3rd parties, other than to 3rd parties engaged by them to fulfill the above purposes or as permitted or required by law.
8) In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of theChallenge Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Challenge related materials, including but not limited to the Challenge entry form, DND network television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Challenge Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
9) All submitted information will be used for the strict purpose of the Challenge and any promotional material related to the Challenge, and kept for a period of two years “Protected B”.
10) All intellectual property, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade-names, logos,designs, promotional materials, web pages, source codes, drawing, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by HPS all rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
11) If for any reason, in the opinion of HPS in its sole discretion, the Challenge is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Challenge is corrupted or adversely affected by causes beyond their control, HPS reserves its right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Challenge including cancelling any method of entry, and select a winner from previously received eligible entries.
12) It is the responsibility of the participant to decide whether or not to participate in each challenge, and whether or not their participation in each challenge is safe. If a participant participates in a challenge and sustains an injury as a result, the Health Promotion Team is not held responsible.
